Georga Alice Swanner

Georgia Cochran Swanner, 90, of 28 Tilley Avenue Newport died Sunday, June 16, 2002 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of Linden Ray Swanner. Born in Paducah, KY on December 29, 1911, she was the daughter of the late A.B. and Rosa Mitchell Cochran. Mrs. Swanner was a professional legal secretary she had worked for the former Lewis OBrien law offices for many years. She enjoyed gardening and had won several awards for her work. She had won the Newport County best garden award from 1957-1959. She is survived by her Husband Linden Ray Swanner of Newport, R.I, one daughter Bernadine Emmett of Ashland VA.Three grandchildren Sally Emmett Dwyer of Newport, RI, Vicki Emmett Fox of Virgina and Elizabeth Emmett of Virginia.
