George A. "Biff" Chamberlin Jr

George "Biff" Chamberlin, Jr., 77, of Middletown passed away at home Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was the husband of the late Inez Constance (Mendonca) Chamberlin. Born in Newport, he was the son of the late George Arthur and Clayre (Sullivan) Chamberlin, Sr.Mr. Chamberlin graduated from Rogers High School in Newport, class of 1957. He worked for many years as a truck driver at various companies including Safeway Systems-Newport, JAM Construction and Construction Materials in Tiverton until his retirement. Biff enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt #3 fan. Biff will be sadly missed by his children: Mark Chamberlin of San Diego, CA, Jill Soares and her husband Mark of Portsmouth, Todd Chamberlin and his wife Victoria of Montgomery, TX, and Jacqueline French and her husband Daniel of Portsmouth. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers; Ann Viau of Newport, Terrance Chamberlin, Kevin Chamberlin, and Clayre Edwards, all of Middletown. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Christopher, Nathan, Jared, Natalie, Matthew, Chelsea, Quinn, Alison, Caitlin and Andrew. He also leaves five great-granchildren.In addition to his late wife and parents, Biff was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Ann Dennis, his grandson Kevin Chamberlin, his son-in-law Chris Dennis, his late brothers Michael Chamberlin and Robert "Chip" Chamberlin as well as his late sister, Cheryl Ney.Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth followed by a memorial service at 11:00AM in the funeral home.Donations in his memory may be made to the Middletown Rescue Wagon Fund, 239 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI 02842 or to the Visiting Nurse Service Hospice of Bristol and Newport Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871
