George A Viveiros

Jul 9, 1949 — Nov 1, 2026

George A. Viveiros, 77, known as "Stick" to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Born on July 9, 1949 in Fall River MA, he was the son of the late Louis Viveiros Sr. and Ethel (Silvia) Viveiros.

George will be remembered for his gentle demeanor, sly smile, beautiful eyes, easy going attitude, rebellious spirit, wisecrack remarks, ability to bring laughter to those around him and appreciation for the simple life.

A devoted Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams and cursing them out when they lost. He was also an avid fan of basketball star Caitlin Clark, admiring her talent and determination.

He enjoyed raising chickens, tending to the family garden, and spending time sitting in the shade Of the family's grapevine listening to music. He had a very eclectic taste in music, with a love for small shows, concerts and festivals. He was lucky to see some amazing musicians, bands and performers throughout his life, but out of everyone Bob Marley remained his favorite.

Stick (as we called him), cherished his family, and his fellow members of BUSH (a revolutionary organization which he held the title of President).

His laughter, kindhearted nature, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the happiness he shared will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

George was a graduate of Rogers High School class of 1968. He was an employee of Eastern Ice Company, a Custodian of Jesus Savior and Middletown High Schools and Driver for James L. Maher Centers Senior Ride Program.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Elizabeth and Anne Viveiros along with his brother Louis Viveiros Jr., his nieces and nephews Susan Kennedy and her husband Patrick; David Smith; Micki Krakosky; Lois Viveiros; and Matthew Viveiros and his Wife Becca. Several great nieces and nephews along with their families. His beloved goddaughter Melody O'Brien and her family and several first cousins who were raised in the same family home who were like siblings to him.
