Gerald Warren

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Gerald Richard Warren of Thornton, NH passed away in the loving arms of his family at the age of 74. Gerald was born on August 16, 1951, in Newport, Rhode Island to the late William Charles Warren and Barbara (Secort) Warren. He grew up in Portsmouth, RI and was a graduate of Portsmouth High School.

Gerald is survived by his wife Diane Warren, his children, Kimberly Anne Cote (Patrick) and Alison Leigh Warren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Laura Christine (Bonville) Warren and his son Brian Christopher Warren. He was a very special grandfather (Grampa!) to three wonderful children, Mahlynn B.Warren, Lauryn Silvia, and Colby Silvia. Gerald was a kind and thoughtful brother to Michael Warren, John Warren and Patrice Warren.

Gerald was a once in a lifetime kind of person. A fantastic storyteller and life-changing soul to everyone he met. He was the first one to help, even if you didn't ask for it. He was witty and incredibly charming. The room was never quiet if he was there. He loved to go fishing with his friends and family. He treated everyone like family from the moment he met them. If you had the honor of knowing him, you were a better person for it. Gerald was the owner "Mayor" of the Pemi River Campground. Each new year, he would get so excited because it meant the new season for camping was starting up. He loved the 4th of July and all of the crazy that went along with it. You could always find him on his golf cart with this side kick and partner in crime named Baxter. He was an awesome card player and loved his get togethers for card night while spending winters in Florida.

He will be forever remembered as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) to his family, for his unending generosity and the sweet way he would smile and wink at you. May he now rest and know he will be truly missed by so many.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22 with visitation at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Rd, Portsmouth, RI from 9:00-10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, Brown's Lane, Middletown.
