Grace A. (Groux) Pedro, 87, formerly of 499 Aquidneck Avenue, Middletown, RI, died peacefully at the Grand Islander Healthcare Center on Saturday, July 5, 2014.She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Pedro, Sr.Born in Providence, RI on September 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Grace (Legge) GrouxMrs. Pedro was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church in Newport. She worked for New England Telephone and later provided childcare in her home for many years. She is survived by her four children, Arthur J. Pedro of Narragansett, RI, Theresa M. Farrell of Cincinnati, OH, David P. Pedro of Lakeville, MA and Maureen E. Mulder of Auburn, KS; two sisters, Anna Anderson and June Santos, both of Newport, RI; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Albert, Walter and Donald Groux, and Kathleen Sekunda.Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 8 - 9:30 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway at Vernon Avenue, Newport, RI.Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
