Harold Lloyd Powers

Harold Lloyd Powers, 75, of 794 Bristol Ferry Portsmouth, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at St. Annes Hospital Fall River, MA.He was the husband of Joan FayPowers. Born in Seattle, WA on August 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Harry and Wilda Franks Powers.After serving in the Navy during WWII Mr. Powers worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service in Anchorage, AK. He then went on to work as an Airtraffic Controller for 27 years retiring in 1976. Mr. Powers did part time work selling amateur radios and equipment. He enjoyed boating and ham radio, and belonged to the U.S. Power squadron.Besides his wife he leaves three sons Howard J. Powers of Everett, WA, Harry R. Powers of Stanwood, WA, and James Powers of East Brookfield, MA, his daughter Joy Williams of North Attleboro, MA, his sister Laverne Nelson of Linwood, WA, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild His funeral will be held, Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 11:00am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.
