Helen E. Barker died on the 5th of September 2026 in Middletown, Rhode Island at the age of 96. Born March 09, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara Champlin. Helen was married to the late Alfred Barker for 60 years until his passing 2012. They raises their family in the same house on Easton's Point for over 50 years.

Helen was a 1948 graduate of Rogers High School. She worked as a private duty home health care provider giving comfort and care to patients across the island for 30 years.

After they retired, she and Al traveled extensively in their RV. Going coast-to-coast, border-to-border in the US with trips into Canada and Mexico. They spent many winters at Port Canaveral Florida enjoying the ocean and beaches and their many friends.

Helen is survived by her sons Jerry (Cynthia), and Fred. Helen had one granddaughter Elizabeth Huntsman (Joe). She is also survived by her niece, nephews, and cousins.

At her request, there will be no services.
