Henry F. Perry

Henry F. Perry, 77, of Fayal Lane, Middletown, RI, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.Born in Glen Cove, Long Island, NY, on September 26th, 1939, he was the son of the late Henry and Marion (Alvernes) Perry and the brother of Francis Perry.Mr. Perry was married to Patricia (Gaudet) Perry for 57 years. Mr. Perry was a member of the Middletown Fire Department. After serving for 25 years, he retired as a Deputy Chief. He was later employed with Mello Construction, J.A.M. Construction, and Tom's Lawn and Garden. Henry enjoyed using his John Deere equipment, family get togethers and traveling with friends. In retirement, he spent lots of time tinkering in his garage and doing yard work.He is survived by his daughters, Christine Perry, and her husband, James Byrd, Diane Perry and her friend, Robert Greichen, Jacqueline Walker and her husband, Robert Walker, and Melissa McQuilkin, and her husband, William McQuilkin; his grandchildren Michael Perry, Pandora Walker, and Magdalena McQuilkin; his great grandchildren Emily, Dillon, and Elizabeth Perry.Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.
