Hilda M. Santos

Hilda Marie Santos, 90, formerly of Massachusetts Avenue, Middletown, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Grand Islander Health Care Center.Born in Fall River, MA on May 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Diane Andrade.Mrs. Santos loved crossword and jig saw puzzles and loved to play Bingo.She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Travis) Johnson and her husband, Rob, of Middletown, RI; her son, Frank F. Souza and his husband, Scott, of Bristol, RI; also a daughter, Patricia A. Edwards of Newport, RI; her beloved grandson, Stephen M. Travis, Jr. of Middletown, RI; grandsons, George J. Coite, Jr. and Michael P. Coite; granddaughters, Christina and Angela; six great-grandchildren; and her former son-in-law, Stephen Travis, Sr..She was predeceased by her husband, Domingo Santos and her sister, Linda Owens.Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014, from 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Burial will be private.
