Hugh L Calibani

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh L. Calibani, who departed this life on February 2, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island. Hugh was born on September 7, 1947, to his loving parents, Everett and Regina.

Hugh served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was known for his quiet and unassuming demeanor, embodying the qualities of humility and kindness.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Village House for their kindness and care during his final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 10th, at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church on 5 Mann Avenue in Newport. Burial will take place afterwards at St. Columba Cemetery on 465 Browns Lane in Middletown.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents: Everett and Regina Calibani.
