Iolanda O'Loughlin

Iolanda (Santopadre) OLoughlin, 87, of Warren died Friday, January 6, 2017 peacefully at home. She was the wife of the late Francis J. "Jerry" O'Loughlin.Born on July 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Eleuterio and Adelina (DiFIlippo) Santopadre.She was a graduate of the Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. After graduation, she moved to Newport working as a pharmacist at Newport Hospital and Cote Pharmacy.She was a devout Catholic and was a past member of Holy Ghost Church in Providence and Jesus Saviour and St. Joseph Churches in Newport. She was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and a woman of strong faith. She volunteered for local organizations and visited with the sick and elderly. She opened her heart and home to those in need.She is survived by her children, Marie Jenkins and her husband Peter of Little Compton, RI, Peter O'Loughlin of Warren, RI, John O'Loughlin and his wife Stephanie of Portsmouth, RI, Susan Olson and her husband Donald of Portsmouth, RI, Thomas O'Loughlin of Middletown, RI and Stephen O'Loughlin of Westwood, MA, her granddaughters, Julie, Emily, Alexandra and Corinne O'Loughlin and her great grandchildren, Averey and Briar Dansereau and Caisley Mello.She was predeceased by her sisters Katherine Barricelli, Olympia Faiola and Mary Buono and her daughter-in-law Sheryl O'LoughlinA private Mass of Christina Burial was held on January 10, 2017 at Jesus Saviour Church in Newport.
