Jacqueline Salvo, 86, of Middletown, RI, died peacefully surrounded by her family on January 28, 2019. Jacqueline was born in Fall River, MA on July 09, 1932, to John C. Capone and Sophie J. (Przystac). She graduated from Mount Saint Mary Academy, Class of 1950. Jacqueline was married to her late beloved husband Carl Salvo, Jr. for 54 years and raised her family in Providence RI. Jacqueline worked in Admissions at Brown University until her retirement. Jacqueline is survived by her daughter Donna Salvo, the late Paula Salvo and son Carl J. Salvo. She had two grandchildren, Sage and Luke Salvo as well as many nieces and nephews. Jacqueline leaves a brother Paul Capone of Somerset MA, a sister Nancy Sutman (Harry) of Pawcatuck, CT and a sister Susan Maloney (Keith) of Bristol, RI.Jacqueline loved her family and always put them first in every she did. She will be forever remembered for the example she set, her sense of duty, support, her joy and love of life, integrity, strength of character, and especially her warm and ready welcome to others. Jacqueline exemplified the willingness of spirit that both hard work and positive thinking can do to overcome the obstacles that are thrown in life's path each and every dry. Her family is forever thankful for this legacy.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 8:00-9:00am, at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, at the St Lucys Catholic Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial in St. Patricks Cemetery in Fall River will be private.Donations in her memory may be made to the Carl Salvo Jr. Youth Development Foundation at the Tennis Hall of Fame, Newport, RI.
