James Patrick Martin

James Patrick Martin, 65, of Middletown, RI died Monday, July 16, 2018 at home after a lengthy illness.Born in Newport, March 12, 1953, he was the son of Phyllis M. and the late James P. Martin. James leaves behind five sisters, Mary Martin Fournier and her husband Richard, Elizabeth Ann Martin; Erin Rose Martin, Kerry Patricia Dwyer and her husband Daniel, and Kathleen P. Martin. James many nieces and nephews brought him great joy. James was very proud of being their Uncle Bubba. He leaves behind Roseline C. Martin and Riley M. Martin, Anastasia C. Dwyer, Peter V. Dwyer, and Owen M. Dwyer.James was a 1971 graduate of Rogers High School. Over the years, James was employed by several local businesses, including the Brick Market, Metropolitan Cleaners, and Finnegan Construction. James also worked as a yacht steward. He was a skilled carpenter and had a special talent for working with sheetrock.James loved the ocean. He was an avid sailor, surfer, and skateboarder. James was a musician.
