Jean Munns Jenkins

Jean Munns Jenkins, 98, of Middletown, passed away, Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the John Clarke Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Jenkins.Born in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Nash Munns.Jean and Charles moved to Aquidneck Island after Charles retirement from the military. She was a life long member of St. Marys Episcopal Church and their Altar Guild as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Jean enjoyed playing bridge, going bowling and golfing.She leaves her sons, Thomas N. Jenkins and his wife Anne of Portsmouth and Robert L. Jenkins of Groton, CT. She was the grandmother of Scott Jenkins and his wife Kendra of Osprey, FL, Thomas Jenkins and his wife Stephanie of Preston, CT and Timothy Jenkins and his wife Jasmine of Waterford, CT as well as four great grandsons, Logan, Gavin Talan and Trevor.Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Marys Episcopal Church, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by her burial in the churchyard.Donations in her memory may be made to John Clarke Activities Fund, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842 or to St. Marys Capital Campaign Fund, 324 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871
