Joanne Carol Gonsalves

Joanne Carol Gonsalves, age 83, of Middletown peacefully joined her savior Sunday, September 24, 2017 at home in Middletown. Mrs. Gonsalves was born October 8, 1933, in Fall River, MA, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Myrtle (Almy) Cavaca. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Gonsalves. Mrs. Gonsalves loved spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed crocheting, and was a member of TOPS. She felt happiest being in the presence of God and worshipping at her church, Evangelical Friends Church of Newport.She is survived by one daughter, Patti Gonsalves of Middletown, RI and one son, Timothy Gonsalves of OH, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.She was predeceased by her son, Michael Gonsalves.A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 2:00 pm, at Newport Memorial Park, Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown, RI Memorials may be made to the Evangelical Friends Church, 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
