John Beckman Lawton Jr

John B. Lawton, JR. Bellingham, MA - John B. Lawton, Jr., 81, of Bellingham, MA, passed away suddenly in Cape May, NJ, on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Beloved husband to Beverly J. Lawton for fifty-nine years. Born in Newport, RI on June 3, 1932, he was the son of the late John B. and Eleanor H. Lawton. A 1951 graduate of Rogers High School and a U.S. Air Force Korean War Veteran, he also attended URI and Bryant College. John retired as a division manager for Sears in Woonsocket, RI. He is also survived by his children, John B. Lawton of Old Lyme, CT, Jeffrey B. Lawton of Arlington, VA, and Jennifer B. Lawton of Baltimore, MD, his granddaughters Jillian B. Lawton and Jade B. Lawton. A family service was held at Newport's Trinity Church followed by burial in Middletown Four Corners Cemetery.
