John Joseph Araujo

Newport, RI - John Joseph Araujo, 58, of Newport, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Fall River, MA on August 28, 1945, he was the son of the late Daniel and Laura Amaral Araujo. Mr. Araujo worked as a fisherman on Aquidneck Island. He is survived by two daughters Shalimir Zoe Link of Virginia Beach, VA, and Naissa Zen Walling of Hampton, VA, two brothers Daniel Araujo of Portsmouth, RI, and Michael Araujo of Fall River, MA, a sister Donna Hastie of Swansea, MA, and six grandchildren.He was the father of the late Ciara Zen Araujo and the brother of the late Lucille Reis. A Memorial service will be held at a time to be announced at the Seamans ChurchInstitute, 18 Market Square, Newport.
