John L. Parham

Newport, RI - John L. Parham, 64, of Newport, RI, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Rochelle, GA, on June 7, 1947, he was the son of Rose West Parham of Newport, RI and the late Herman Parham. John graduated from Rogers High School, Newport, RI. Mr. Parham was a member of the Newport Masonic Lodge. He worked as a welder for Electric Boat at Quonset Point for many years. He was a loving father, son, grandfather and friend. Besides his mother, he is survived by his son Brian Parham, and his granddaughters Tasha Parham and Cassandra Parham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was the loving father of the late Jessica Parham.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
