John O'Brien

John J. OBrien III, 77, of Newport, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Linda (Heup) OBrien.Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Gwendolyn (Hooper) OBrien, Jr.John served our country while in the Air Force during Vietnam.Beside his wife he leaves his children: John J. OBrien IV, Scott OBrien, Kimberly Gullien, Christopher Heup, Gwendolyn OBrien and Dawn OBrien-Bridges.John is also survived by his grandchildren, Tirzah OBrien, Connor Haddix, Caleb Haddix, Lee Gullien, Cooper Gullien, Genesis Gullien, Patience Gullien and CJ Gullien as well as his sister Elizabeth Golden and brother Wayne D. OBrien, his nephew Jim Golden and niece Elizabeth Golden-Houston, and his former wife Daisy M. OBrienCalling hours will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 52 Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI.
