Jose Luis Vincent Barrientos

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Luis Vincent Barrientos on June 18, 2026, at the age of 68. Surrounded by family, he left this world to reunite with his soulmate, Deborah Berriochoa. Jose was born on December 22, 1957, in La Paz, Bolivia, and he filled the lives of those around him with love, laughter, and wisdom.

A devoted father, Jose, will be dearly missed by his children, Stephanie Loomis, Lisa Berriochoa, Crystal Berriochoa, Joseph Berriochoa, Valerie Berriochoa, Lauren Berriochoa and Kyle Berriochoa along with his 26 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His mother, Felicidad Llamas, will forever hold him in her heart, just as he held each of his family members close throughout his life. Jose was the kind of man who always had a story ready to share, a book in hand, and a lesson to impart, teaching us all the importance of perseverance and joy.

Jose's passions were as diverse as his personality. Whether it was fishing off the Newport Harbor or proudly serving in the U.S. Army, he approached life with enthusiasm. His legacy lives through his three sisters-Mary Llamas, Ester Llamas, and Cynthia Shea, and 2 nieces, all of whom will carry his memory forward.

In honor of Jose's life, funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Calling hours will be held 11:30-12:30 with a service in the funeral home following at 12:45. Burial will be private.
