Kenneth Camadeco, 69, of Newport, Rhode Island, died on March 28, 2024.
Born in Bronx, NY on July 6, 1954, He was the son of the late Benjamin Camadeco and Stephanie (Sysak) Camadeco of Yonkers, NY.
Ken was a man of many talents, he worked as a skilled shipwright for most of his life on sailboats in Newport and Jamestown, RI, and was later the first mate and caretaker of the Schooner Thomas Hoyne sail boat. Kenneth also loved making music, he was a blues songwriter and performer, with mastery in the 12-string guitar and self-taught in many other instruments. His catalog of music includes many original recordings and copyrighted songs. Returning to school later in life, he attended CCRI and Salve Regina University achieving National Honor Society and Summa Cum Laude in studies in criminal justice and Italian language and culture. Ken was known for his charisma, presence in conversations, and ability to make you laugh. Ken's amazing aptitude to solve problems, and to build and create was taught to and passed on to his two sons.
Kenneth is survived by his mother Stephanie Camadeco of Yonkers, NY, and his two children Michael Camadeco and his wife Kaitlin of Reading, MA, and Jonathan Camadeco and his wife Marga Coler of Leverett, MA, his grandchildren Cora and Shelby Camadeco, Leo and Arturo Camadeco, and his siblings; Stephen Camadeco (Donna) of Katonah, NY and Karen Claridge (Eddie) of Ossining, NY and niece and nephew Eric and Lauren Camadeco. He is also survived by his very dear friend, Sandy Borges.
