Kristin Ann Pierini, 58, of Middletown, Rhode Island, died peacefully on July 2, 2026. She was the wife of Gary Pierini. Born in Newport, RI on January 23, 1968, She was the daughter of Joy (Hayward) Benson of Middletown, RI and Al Benson and Mary Benson of Exeter, RI.

Kristin grew up in Portsmouth and from the beginning was an outgoing and social being. She loved listening to live music and had several favorite spots over the years. She attended Portsmouth High School and received her associate's degree from CCRI. Throughout her life she worked in several different positions on the Island including Almacs, Tuition Management Systems and Newport County Regional Special Education Department. Kristin was a strong and determined woman. Throughout many health issues and dozens of surgeries, she persevered and rarely complained or asked for pity. She would just get back up and groove to the music!

Kristin is survived by her beloved husband Gary Pierini, her mother Joy Benson of Middletown, RI and her father Al Benson and his wife Mary of Exeter, RI, and her siblings; Carl Benson, Peter Benson, Dan Benson (Stephanie) and Anne Benson (Kyle Griffin), and then her beloved nieces and nephews, Madison, Elizabeth, Cole, Kate, Hayes, Connor and Jackson, who will miss their dear Aunt Kiki.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. A memorial service will be held the same day at 2:00 pm, at Channing Memorial Church, 135 Pelham St, Newport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice, 438 East Main Road, Middletown, RI 02842, the Cancer Institute at Newport Hospital, Development Office, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901, or to the Three Angels Fund, PO Box 4003, Middletown, RI 02842.
