Lakeisha Moore

Lakeisha, was born on January 16, 1976 to Verna (Butler) Moore and Charles Wray in Newport, Rhode Island.She graduated in 1994 from Middletown High School, and she attended URI.Lakeisha loved to attend competitions and games in support of her children in Cheer, Pop Warner football and Newport County Gymnastics. She cherished moments with Teresa, Tone, Sean, Michaela, Shana, Christine, Lisa, cousin Desiree and other friends, exercising, taking pictures, hanging out or just having long talks on the telephone.Lakeisha is survived by her children Jasmine, Jacoby and Gianna, her companion Geoff Smith, her mother, Verna (Butler) Moore and her longtime companion Greg Hills of RI; her father, Charles Wray and his longtime companion Jackie Killian of RI, Bobby Moore and his longtime companion Jackie Williams of CA, her younger sister, Selena Moore of RI, her grandmother Catherine Butler of RI, her grandfather William Butler and his wife Lydia Butler of TX, her uncles Vincent Butler of RI and Kim Wray of MD, her aunts Wanda Short (Ricardo Short) of VA, Sheila Butler of VA, Barbara Henderson (Jesse Henderson) of RI, Evelyn Spencer of RI, her niece Amarianna of RI, and numerous cousins and friends from California, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Virginia.Lakeisha was preceded in death by her sister, Bobbie Moore.Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018, from 12:00pm-1:00pm, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00pm in the funeral home.
