Linda Jane Burkitt

Linda Jane (Albro) Burkitt, 73, of 7 Rosedale Court, Middletown, RI, died on Friday June 8th 2018 peacefully at home.She was the wife of Robert Neal Burkitt.Born in Newport, RI on April 26, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Louise (Deblois) Albro, JrMrs. Burkitt worked as a secretary for the Bank Newport for 22 years. She also worked in Toronto Canada for Bank of Nova Scotia and in the business office at Salve. Mrs. Burkitt was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed embroidery and church work.Besides her husband of 43 years, she is survived by her daughter Robin Louise Burkitt of Middletown, RI, her brother William Albro of Tacoma, WA and her sister Phyllis Louise Armbrust of Chula Vista, CA.Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday June 12, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport, RI 02840A graveside service will be held on Wednesday June 13, 2018 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Churchyard 324 East Main Road Portsmouth, RI 02871.Donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
