Linda Priscilla Cook, age 72, of Portsmouth died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Landmark Medical Center of Woonsocket, RI. She was born on February 26, 1945, in Newport, RI, the daughter of the late Harry R. and Shirley P. (Wentworth) Paquin, Jr. Linda worked as a deputy finance director for the town of Portsmouth for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Besides her mother, Shirley, she is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer W. Mello of Bristol, RI, and Rebecca Cook of Harrisville, RI, two brothers, Harry Bob Paquin of Columbia, CT and Douglas Paquin of Middletown, RI. She also leaves two grandchildren, Maddison Mello and Abigail Mello of Bristol, RI.Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 11:00am-12:00pm, at the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 12:00pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home.
