Linda Helen Sheehan

November 5, 1948 — February 22, 2026

Linda H. Sheehan, a woman of incredible taste, iconic style, and devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, February 22, 2026. She carried herself with grace in every season of life.

Linda entered the world on November 5, 1948, in Newport, RI, the cherished daughter of the late Henry and Ruth (O'Connell) Trojan, beloved sisters Karen Santa and the late Ruthann Vergara. Growing up by the coast, she found her greatest joys at Second Beach or in the saddle as an accomplished equestrian. Linda graduated from Rogers High School and later attended Vernon Court Junior College. She married the love of her life, John T. Sheehan in 1969, they were happiest cruising around Newport Harbor and travelling the world. Linda's legacy of kindness extended to all creatures; she was a lifelong advocate for animals, opening her heart and home to countless stray cats, rescue dogs, and birds.

Above all else, Linda loved her family deeply. She was the proud matriarch of a growing family that she and John had created. Her two sons, both married, and her six grandchildren were the center of her world. The eldest grandchild, Brooke, was almost always in her arms in every photo, and Jade, her "mini-me," reflected so much of Linda's own spirit. Linda was constantly holding a camera, determined never to miss a single moment and single-handedly preserving birthdays, beach days, holidays, and the in-between memories that made up the Sheehan family.

She is survived by her two sons, John Sheehan and his wife, Abi, and Jeffrey Sheehan and his wife, Emily; her sister, Karen Santa, and her husband, Gene; her nephew Patrick Condry and wife Tammy, her niece Lissa Smith; her great-nephew, Riley Miller; and her six grandchildren, Brooke, Madison, Christian, Ryan, Jade, and Mark Sheehan.

Linda is now reunited with her Johnny, leaving us with a lifetime of memories and a family strengthened by her love.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to be made to The Potter League in her memory.
