Lois M. (Willcott) Barry died peacefully on September 15, 2026. She is predeceased by her mother, Norma Willcott; divorced father, Earl Carlton Willcott; her late brother, Earl Willcott; and sister Beverly Tanner of Virginia.
She graduated from Rogers High School, class of 1957. She was a longtime member of Saint Mary's Episcopal Church. A long career as a dental assistant for the late Dr. Moody.
She passed after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons. She was a loving mother and grandmother, remembered for her generous spirit and pleasant personality. She is survived by her daughters, Michele Barry of San Rafael, California, Colleen Barry, Julie Barry of Maine, and partner, Jude Zeh, and grandsons Brandon Langdon of Tiverton, Colton Langdon of Middletown and his wife, Jayda, and great-grandson Cooper, and Erin Barry of Portsmouth, RI.
She was well liked in the nursing home where she made many friends and was known to visit residents and offer free hugs to anyone needing support.
She loved Newport and the ocean where she raised her daughters, spending family summers at Hazard's Beach.
Lois loved to dance and spent her childhood dancing ballet.
Later in life, ballroom dancing gave her much joy.
She was a sports fan and loved football. Her only team was the New England Patriots.
She also played a good game of Bridge and hosted many card games.
In accordance with Lois's wishes, she will be cremated, and no funeral or memorial service will be held.
