Lois E. Kennedy Kessler

Lois Loie E. Kennedy Kessler, 82 of Newport, RI and formerly Summit and New Providence, NJ died peacefully at home in Newport on Friday August 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.She was the wife of the late John (Jack) N. Kessler.Born in Montclair, NJ, on June 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Josephine and Rudolph S. Kennedy of New Providence, NJ.Mrs. Kennedy Kessler earned a BS degree in nursing on a full scholarship from Rutgers University and worked as a RN at Overlook Hospital in Summit. She was CEO of KMI Corporation, a market research firm specializing in the fiberoptics industry, for more than 25 years then retired to enjoy horses and grandchildren. She was president of Aquidneck Island Horsemans Association (AIHA) and a member of the Connemara Association of America. Many friends visited her table at Newport International Polo and she enjoyed hosting international teams. Loie was involved in housing the homeless on Aquidneck Island and loved gardening, macrobiotic cooking and symphony.She is survived by her brother Richard S.
