Lois Pailin

Lois Pailin, age 73, of Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on October 3, 2018, at Newport Hospital.Lois was born on October 28, 1944, in New York, NY, to the late Randolph Stewart, Sr. and the late Lillian H. (Jackson) Stewart.Lois worked as a cook for most her life for several organizations around the Newport area, including Naval Station Newport, Belcourt Castle, and a few local nursing homes. She also was the former food director for Head Start and had her own catering business. In her spare time, she enjoyed bingo and playing the slots.Lois is survived by her son, Daron Pailin, her sisters, Lynn Stewart, Leah Plummer and her husband Bennie Plummer, her brothers, Randolph Stewart. Jr. and Ronald R. Stewart, her grandchildren, Derek Michael Lewis, Daron Stewart Pailin, Jr., Miguel Ayala and Jose Ayala, her godson, Wendall Stein, many nieces and nephews, and her good friend Ellen G. Betzler.Her funeral services will be private.
