Louise (Freitas) White

Louise (Freitas) White, 84, died on Friday December 16, 2016, at Village House Nursing Center Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Alfred C. White. Born in Fall River, MA on March 19, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Emily (Rezendes) Freitas and the late Antone Freitas. Louise worked for GE Company for many years. She was an avid gardener, loved bee keeping and was a life-long learner. She is survived by her nieces Linda Hussey and Karen Phillips, and her nephew Steve White and many other nieces and nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Edmond Freitas, Laurindo (Lenny) Freitas and her brother in laws George White, John White, James White and her sister in law Mary Phillips. Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016, from 8:30-9:30am, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, in Newport. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016, at 10am in Jesus Savior Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.
