Lucille M. Shappy

Portsmouth, RI - Lucille M. Fontaine Shappy, 91, of 2217 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, July 17, 2006 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Roland F. Shappy, former Superintendant of Portsmouth Public Schools. Born in Millbury, MA, on September 22, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Louise Tebeau Fontaine. She is survived by her daughter Carol Shappy of Portsmouth, RI, and her sister Norma Landry of Millbury, MA. She was the sister of the late Annette Tapper. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at 11:00am, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Burial will be private.
