Lucy Johnson

Lucy Johnson, 91, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at Newport Hospital on December 15, 2018.Lucy was born in 1927 in Ossining, NY and was the daughter of the late Andrea Mastrorilli and the late Agatha Marzola. She was predeceased by 6 siblings and her husband Harry G. Johnson in 2012, to whom she was married for 56 years. Together they had 2 children and 2 beautiful grandchildren. Lucys grandchildren were the light of her life.She was an Avon lady for over 50 years, enjoying the many friendships she made along the way. She enjoyed playing Bingo, slots and the thrill of the lottery. Lucy loved to work in her flower gardens and took much pride in her yard and home. She also liked to cheer on her favorite Red Sox and Patriot teams.Lucy is survived by her loving children, Mark Johnson and his wife Joyce, of Concord, New Hampshire, and Sherri Johnson of Portsmouth. She was the proud grandmother to Nicholas and Hollie and also was cherished by her many nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff at Newport Hospital, Visiting Nurse Home amp; Hospice, and Hope Hospice amp; Palliative Care RI for their wonderful care.At Lucys request, funeral services will be private.
