Marc Brownell

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marc C. Brownell, 66, on November 20, 2025, after 15 months battle with esophageal cancer.

He worked for the RI Dept. of Transportation for 24 years until his retirement this past May. He was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He enjoyed cooking for family and friends working in his garden, fishing and spending time outdoors and a good cigar.

Marc survived by his wife, Betsy Medeiros; his granddaughters Kyla M. Cloutier and Kaytlyn Brownell; his brother Scott Brownell (Kimberly) and close friends Bill Armstrong, Kenny "toot"and Ronnie Medeiros. He will deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per Marc's request there will no funeral or services. A celebration of life will take place int he future.
