Marcia Christine Merkt

Marcia C. Steele Merkt, 58, of Harbor Village Drive, Middletown, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the John Clarke Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Middletown.She was the wife of Henry Merkt.Born in Fall River, MA on December 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy Dube Steele.Mrs. Merkt especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her two cats.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dawn Steele of Fall River, MA and Jameson Steele of Newport; her bothers and sisters, Michael Steele of Nevada, Francis Steele of Vermont, Patricia Power of Ohio, Nancy Reynolds of New Bedford, MA, and Melanie Goncalo of Mansfield, MA; four grandchildren; and her two cats, Molly and Maxwell. She was the sister of the late David Steele.Her funeral services will be private.
