Maria Filomena Moitoza

Maria F. Moitoza, 91, of Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday October 15, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital. Maria was born June 21, 1926 in the island of Horta, of the Azores, Portugal. She was the wife of Joseph G. Moitoza Sr.In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her son Joseph Moitoza and his wife Barbara of Attleboro, MA. She is predeceased by her late sister Maria Emelia and her late brother Jose Serpa.Maria came to the United States July 19, 1959 and was married on April 8, 1961. She was a loving wife and beautiful mom to her only son she always called Joey.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday October 19th 2017 at Jesus Saviour Church, 1 Vernon Avenue Newport, RI 02840, at 9:00 A.M.Burial to follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
