Maria Francisco

Maria H. Francisco of Middletown RI, 74, daughter of Jamie and Maria ( Piedade) Freitas, gained her angel wings at home surrounded by her family and beloved loved ones on June 25, 2024.

Maria was born in Madeira, Portugal on October 9, 1949, and moved to the United States in 1980.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years Humberto Francisco, as well as her two beloved wonderful children Filipe and Tania Francisco of Middletown RI. She will also be missed by her siblings, Manuela, Jamie, Ernesto, Alda, Bernadette, Juvenal, Joao and Jose.

Maria was the most loving, humble person. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and keeping a clean beautiful, happy, healthy home for her family. She enjoyed singing, cooking, gardening.

She was always the most welcoming person to her home no matter whom you were. No one was turned away. Always a true warm welcoming.

Calling hours will be held on June 28, 2024, from 9:00am-11:00am at Memorial funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.

Graveside services will be held immediately following at 11:30am at St. Columba Catholic cemetery, 465 Brown's Ln., Middletown.
