Marjorie A. Foster, lovingly known as "Margie," passed away on May 7, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on February 6, 1935, in Gowanda, NY, Margie lived a vibrant and fulfilling life dedicated to education, the arts, and her beloved family.

She graduated from the University of Buffalo with a BA in Teaching and spent years inspiring young minds as a teacher in the Middletown Public Schools. Margie's creativity knew no bounds. She was an accomplished storyteller at Green Animals, where children and adults alike were captivated by her tales. Her love for music and art shone through everything she did, and as a devoted member of the Newport Preservation Society, she lent her talents as a docent at Kingscote Museum and the Marble House, helping to preserve the beauty of Rhode Island history.
