Mark Andrew Dobrott

Mark Andrew Dobrott of Portsmouth, RI passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA with the grace of God and surrounded by his family. He was 47 years old, born Nov. 10, 1968 in Billerica, MA. He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Lyse Dobrott, of Portsmouth, RI, brother David Dobrott and his wife Sabine Stolle-Dobrott and their children, Courtney and Natasha Dobrott, of Somerset, MA, and his brother Richard Dobrott, of Fall River, MA, and his children, Christopher Santos and Logan Dobrott of Somerset, MA.Mark passed away after waiting several years for a heart transplant which never came along; an LVAD sustained him for three and a half years.Mark graduated from Portsmouth HS in 1986 and attended Rhode Island College and CCRI.He was a professional photographer with Armor-Martel Photography for many years and also worked at Stop and Shop in Middletown, RI.He was an avid motorcyclist and rode long trips, touring extensively in the US and Spain with friend and fellow photographer Chris Martel. He had a natural curiosity and studied a wide range of subjects on the internet. He also enjoyed working on computers, cooking and recently gardening.Mark will be missed by his many friends and extended family in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Virginia, Arizona, California, Quebec and the UK.Calling hours will be hold on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5:00-8:00pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Rd, Portsmouth.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 9:00am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Barnabas Church, East Main Rd, Portsmouth.
