Mary Kathleen Coppola

Mary (Kathy) Coppola, age 57, of East Greenwich Rhode Island, passed away on August 6, 2018, at home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer.Kathy was born June 18, 1961 in Newport, RI to the late Elbert J. Passman and Mary (Brindle) Passman. Kathy was lovingly married to the late Paul Coppola for 23 years.Kathy was a loving and caring wife, daughter, sister, mother and Nana. She was a graduate of Rogers High School in Newport. She loved her family immensely and together with Paul, they proudly hosted many family and friends for Fourth of July parties and holiday celebrations.Kathy was employed by Fidelity Investments. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed the challenge of analyzing complex business issues. She met many great colleagues and most became good friend who would often get together for after work happy hours.Kathy is survived by her mother, Mary Passman of Middletown, and her children; Scott Roberts and his wife Lissa, of Ft. Belvoir, VA, Leslie LeBlanc and her husband Daniel, of West Warwick, Jeffrey Coppola and his wife Jennifer of Griswold, CT, Pamela DiMartino and her husband Chris, of Simsbury, CT. She is also survived by her siblings, Donna Passman of Middletown and Kenneth Passman and his wife Jean of Mississippi and her grandchildren Dominic, Anthony, Amelia, Zackary, Lily, Jacob and Eliza.She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Coppola, her father, Elbert J. Passman, and her brother Elbert J. Passman Jr.Calling hours will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway in Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held immediately following calling hours at 12:00 pm in the funeral home.Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown, Rhode Island.In Lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to National cancer Institute www.cancerresearch.org
