Mary Louise Gilchrest

Mary Louise Murphy Gilchrest, 56, of New Britain, CT, formerly of Newport, RI, died Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at the Newington V.A. Hospital, Newington, CT.She was the wife of Raymond M. Gilchrest. Born in Newport, RI on June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Margaret E. Sargent Murphy of Newport, RI. Mrs. Gilchrest worked as a housekeeper for ten years at the Newington Veterans Hospital in Connecticut. Besides her husband she is survived by two brothers Henry F. Murphy and John D. Murphy both of Newport, RI, and her sister Dorothy G. James of Newport, RI. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 9:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown.
