Mary M. (Russo) Sears, 82, of Newport passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Antoine Residence of North Smithfield, RI.She was the wife of Herbert F. Sears. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Belfi) Russo. For many years, Mrs. Sears worked in the housekeeping department at Newport Hospital. After her retirement she went on to volunteer at the hospital.Besides her husband she leaves her children Rosemary Sears and her husband Jason Edwards of Westford, MA, Raymond J Sears of Middletown and her two grandsons Dylan Sears and Zachary Sears.She was the sister of John A. Russo of North Providence, Peter A. Russo of Scituate, RI and Lawrence A. Russo of Johnston, RI.Mary was the sister of the late Adrian M Russo and Paul J Russo.Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 9:30 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.
