Merah Pratt Peabody

Merah Pratt Peabody, age 85, of Middletown, passed away on August 16, 2018, in Providence.Merah was born in Salem, MA, on September 11, 1932, to the late Oliver Pratt and the late Merah (Shrum) Pratt. She was the wife of Restcom E. Peabody, Jr. for 62 years, without a single fight.Merah was a former elementary school teacher, and she and her husband owned and operated Peabody's Beach in Middletown for 35 years. In her spare time, she was devoted to her family and enjoyed her grandchildren.Besides her husband, Restcom, she is survived by her children, Merah Kim Bousquet of San Diego, CA, R. Gregory Peabody of Middletown, RI, and Kristin Saghain of MIddletown, RI, her brothers, Mark Pratt of Washington, DC, and Frix Pratt of New Hampshire. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Peabody, her grandson, Matthew Akucewich, and her brother, Oliver Pratt.Her funeral services are private.
