Michael Jay Rodrigues

Our beloved Michael Jay Rodrigues, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026. Our family is heartbroken and Jay was a wonderful man who would help anyone in need. He was very loving and caring, and he had a special place in his heart for cats without homes, always making sure they were fed and cared for.

Jay retired after many years working for the City of Providence and the Traffic Tribunal. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Manual F. Rodrigues, his mother, Carol A. Rodrigues, and is survived by his siblings, David Carolson, of Chelsea, Massachusetts; Cliff Rodrigues of Newport, Rhode Island; Caroline Rodrigues of Newport, Rhode Island; and James Rodrigues of Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also survived by nephews Jonathan Rodrigues of New Hampshire and Asher Hamilton of Apopka, Florida, as well as nieces Brenda Perry of Utica, New York and Isabella from Rhode Island.
