Michele Ellen
Anderson
Jun 21, 1964 — Oct 10, 2026
Some people have a remarkable way of making others feel special, remembered, and genuinely loved. Michele Ellen Anderson was one of those people. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, a colleague, or someone she had only just met, Michele had a gift for finding a connection and making it meaningful.
Michele passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, countless friendships, and a space in the lives of those who loved her that will be impossible to fill.
Born on June 21, 1964, in Newport, Rhode Island, Michele was the daughter of Andrew and Brenda (Burroughs) Anderson. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1987 and went on to build an extraordinary career as a VIP travel advisor, a profession she loved and excelled in for more than 30 years.
To say Michele was good at her job would be an understatement. She was exceptional, and her clients knew it. Her relationships were built on trust, dedication, and an unmatched ability to take care of people. In fact, her clients at Thomson Reuters valued her so much that when changing travel companies, they insisted Michele come along. They even wrote her into their contracts. If Michele wasn't part of the deal, neither were they. That was Michele. She wasn't simply doing a job; she was building relationships, earning loyalty, and making herself truly irreplaceable.
As much as Michele loved her career, the people in her life were always her greatest joy. And perhaps no one knew the full extent of her generous heart better than her nephew, Jake Andrew Dauphin, and niece, Brynn Michaela Dauphin. From the moment they were born, Auntie Michele showered them with love, attention, and, more often than not, whatever their hearts desired. Making them happy made her happy. She celebrated them, delighted in them, and loved them without limits.
Michele was bright, curious, and wonderfully easy to talk to. She could hold a conversation about almost anything: sports, politics, books, television, podcasts, or whatever happened to be on someone's mind. But what made her special wasn't simply how much she knew. It was how interested she was in other people. She had a way of discovering that one thing you shared, remembering it, and turning it into a connection that lasted.
And those connections mattered deeply to her.
Michele collected more than friendships throughout her life. She built a family of her own choosing, made up of people she loved dearly and who loved her just as much in return. She showed up. She remembered the important moments. She celebrated the good times and stood beside the people she loved through the difficult ones. To Michele, friendship was never a casual thing. It was a commitment, a bond, and another way of being family.
Michele leaves behind her loving parents, Andrew and Brenda Anderson; her sisters, Kristina A. Anderson and Karin E. Dauphin, and Karin's husband, Michael Dauphin; and her beloved nephew and niece, Jake Andrew Dauphin and Brynn Michaela Dauphin. She also leaves behind the many dear friends who became family along the way.
Services for Michele will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michele's memory the Greater Boston Food Bank at www.gbfb.org.
Michele's life was rich in the ways that mattered most. She built a career she was proud of, surrounded herself with people she cherished, and gave generously of herself to those she loved. Her absence will be felt in the everyday moments, the conversations, the celebrations, and all the occasions when those closest to her will wish she were there.
She had a way of making people feel like they mattered. And because of that, Michele will always matter to them.
