Moyra Patricia Ann (Trainor) Kaiser, age 84, of Newport, Rhode Island, passed away on September 3, 2018.
Moyra was born April 29, 1934 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to Martin Gerald and Bertha May (McKenna) Trainor. The family moved from Regina to Sudbury, Ontario, Canada where Moyra attended primary school. Moyra attended St. Michaels College at the University of Toronto and graduated with honors. Her first teaching job was at Western Ontario University in London, Ontario. She met her future husband, the late Charles Hugh Kaiser, Jr. in London. She later attended Middlebury College (Middlebury, VT) where she earned her Masters Degree in Romance Languages and Literatures.
Moyra and Charles were married in London, Ontario on September 12, 1959. The couple moved to Bloomington, Indiana where Moyra continued her teaching (French and Italian) career at the University of Indiana. The family then relocated to Stamford, CT. Moyra continued her language instruction with the University of Connecticut. After an illness, Moyra moved to Portsmouth, RI to live with her youngest son, Richard. Moyra later moved to Newport to the Village House Nursing home where she spent her final days.
Moyra is survived by her daughter Mary Carolyn Kaiser (Robert Faubel) of Stamford, CT and sons Charles Hugh Kaiser (Christine Costigan) of Lakeland, FL and Richard Michael Kaiser (Robin Sheehan) of Westport, MA, her grandsons Daniel Kaiser Saunders, Luke Edward Faubel, and her granddaughter Caitlin Ann Kaiser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother The Honorable Richard Gerald Trainor, and sisters Therese (Trainor) Duyvesten and Jane (Trainor) Miller.
A private family service will be held on at Memorial Funeral Home.
