John Cornelius Finnegan, age 82, of Portsmouth died suddenly Friday, November 17, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. John was born November 22, 1934 in Newport, RI. He is the son of the late Hugh Daniel and the late Bridgett Finnegan (Lynch). He is the widow of Anne Toth. He is survived by his daughter Michelle Ryan of Phoenix, AZ. His grandson Justin Finnegan of Spokane WA, his granddaughter Ashly Richard (Finnegan) of Portsmouth RI, his sister Mary Hebert of Andover MA and his bother Hugh Daniel Finnegan of Newport RI.Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Monday, November 27, 2017. The funeral will follow at 10:00 am Monday, November 27 at Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
