Lindsay Edmonds

Lindsay Edmonds, 76, of Newport died on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his home in Newport. "Junie", as he was called most of his life, was born April 13, 1941 in Providence, RI, the son of the late Lindsay Edmonds and the late Harriet (Busby) Williams. Junie was raised in Rhode Island but soon found his way around the country and lived in many different states including Michigan, North Carolina, Connecticut and Massachusetts. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed a carefree life. Once he returned to RI, he became a part of the REC Reunion group, reconnecting with friends from his youth.He is survived by two nieces, Darlene Johnston of Fairfax, VA and Michelle Taylor of Baltimore, MD; his sister in law, Luvina Busby of Oakdale, CT, and a host of cousins and extended family and friends.He was predeceased by his mother Harriet Williams and his brother Roger Busby.Services will be private.Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army, 51 Memorial Boulevard, Newport, RI 02840.
