Barbara M. Davis

Barbara Marie Louise Davis, 88, of Middletown, formerly of Warwick, RI, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at her home in Middletown. Barbara was born August 22, 1928 in East Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Josephine (Iacobucci) Piacitelli. She was the wife of Francis P. Davis. A graduate in 1949, Magna Cum Laude, and the youngest female, from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. She interned at her uncle's White Cross Pharmacy and after raising her boys enjoyed her employment at the Veteran's Home in Bristol as Head Pharmacist until her retirement in 2002. She was an avid jazz music lover, and enjoyed attending many of the Newport Jazz Festivals over the years. She traveled extensively throughout her life and enjoyed Friday evenings as a member of the Newport Roundtable. She was an active volunteer Officer of the RI Boys Choir during the 1960s.She is survived by two sons, Steven F. Davis of Atascadero, CA, and Scott F. Davis of Middletown, RI and two sisters, Joanne DiPinto of Warwick, RI and Georganna El-Heneidy of Rockport, MA. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley F.
