Eileen J. Raposa

Eileen J. (Silvia) Raposa 82, of Portsmouth, passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 in Newport Hospital, surrounded by her family.Married for 63 years, Eileen was the loving wife of Charles A. Raposa, Sr.Born in Fall River, she was the grand-daughter of the late John and Mary SilviaMrs. Raposa worked for the Portsmouth School Lunch Program as a cook for many years. She volunteered for the Portuguese American Club for their feast.Her family was everything to her and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband Charlie, she leaves her children, Charles A. Raposa, Jr. of Portsmouth, Edward J. Raposa and his wife Cherie also of Portsmouth and Charlene Viera and her husband Arthur of Swansea, MA. She was the loving grandmother to Audrey, Holly, Staci, Eddie, Chris and Artie as well as eleven great grandchildren.She was the grandmother of the late Charles Raposa Chaves.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 10:00AM, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth with a funeral service at 10:00am in the funeral home.
