Portsmouth, RI - Geraldine H. Brain (Gerry), 88 of Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Miller Place, NY died on Sunday, October 5th.She was the wife of the late Frederick L. Brain.Born in Queens, NY on August 1st, 1926, she was the daughter of William and Dorothy Riley.Gerry loved to read and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Karen, Patricia and Kenneth, her grandchildren Lynne, Steven, Jimmy, Rob, Dennis, Erin, Courtney, Ryan, Justin and her great-grandchildren Madison, Maverick, Preston, C.J, .Alexys, Tyler, Gavin and Brady.The family would like to thank all the staff at Atria Aquidneck Place for their kind compassionate care of Gerry.A private family service will be held at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
